ChefnMe is a marketplace platform that connects customers seeking private chef experiences with independent professional chefs. We facilitate discovery, communication, booking, and payment between customers and chefs. ChefnMe is not a chef staffing agency and does not employ the chefs on our platform.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. For Customers
- Quote requests are not binding commitments until a booking is confirmed and payment is processed.
- You agree to provide accurate event details (date, guest count, dietary needs, location).
- Cancellation policies are set by individual chefs and will be communicated before booking confirmation.
- You are responsible for providing a suitable and safe cooking environment for the chef.
- Reviews must be honest and based on actual experiences.
5. For Chefs
- You represent that you hold all necessary licenses, permits, and certifications required in your jurisdiction.
- You are an independent contractor, not an employee of ChefnMe.
- You are responsible for food safety, quality, and compliance with health regulations.
- You agree to maintain accurate profile information, including pricing, availability, and specialties.
- You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and business expenses.
- ChefnMe may charge a service fee on completed bookings.
6. Payments
- Payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors.
- Customers are charged upon booking confirmation.
- Chef payouts are disbursed according to the payout schedule outlined in the chef dashboard.
- ChefnMe is not responsible for disputes between customers and chefs regarding service quality.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or experience
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
- Circumvent the platform to avoid service fees
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service
- Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the platform's security
8. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and intellectual property on ChefnMe are owned by ChefnMe, Inc. or its licensors. Content you upload (photos, menus, reviews) remains yours, but you grant ChefnMe a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute it in connection with the Service.
9. Limitation of Liability
ChefnMe provides the platform "as is" and makes no warranties regarding the quality, safety, or legality of chef services. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChefnMe shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ChefnMe, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in San Francisco, California.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
